Making Trouble was the Geto Boys’ first album, released on February 17, 1988, and marked the beginning of their transition from a Houston-area rap group, known as the Ghetto Boys, to one of the most renowned rap groups in the world. It featured contributions from the group’s original members, Willie D, Bushwick Bill, and Scarface, as well as contributions from DJ Ready Red. The album’s dark subject matter and hard-hitting beats immediately set it apart from other rap albums of the era, making it both an influential and revolutionary album in hip-hop history. It also featured some of their most memorable and enduring tracks, such as Gangsta of Love and My Mind Playing Tricks on Me, which remain fan favorites to this day.
