KD’s Craft Beer Run | Dacha Beer Garden

SALUD! I had to be in D.C. for a conference last month, which happened to be Juneteenth weekend – which also happened to be the same weekend for Pharrell’s Something in the Water festival. So you already KNOW it was goin’ down!

In any case, me and my co-worker Nick had a hella-productive day at the conference so we decided an impromptu “pub crawl” was the right thing to do. We rented a couple Birds and hit up a few spots including Busboys & Poets as well as Dacha Beer Garden. I believe DBG has a few different locations but we hit Dacha Shaw on 7th St. NW. Man, let me tell you… this spot is INCREDIBLE! I don’t believe they offer flights – which are honestly my thing since “variety’s the spice of life” – but I honestly have a hard time remembering because the spot was so dope it didn’t matter.

We grabbed a spot at one of the long picnic tables closest to the bar, chilled out, chatted with a couple folks at our table – or maybe it was their table but ultimately became “our” table. No harm, no foul though – it was a good time. And I think I only had a couple rounds of the same DIPA (Manor Hill Brewing’s Citra Splendor) but it was top shelf so, yeah… all W’s, no L’s!
