KD’s Craft Beer Run | Civil Society Brewing Company

Written by on October 31, 2022

SALUD! So last time I was in Fort Lauderdale, I also had to go to Palm Beach – about 45 miles away. Typically I do a quick rundown of local breweries to hit but this visit was so short (like 14 hours), I honestly didn’t think I’d have time or the energy to do anything outside of checking into my hotel, sleeping and waking up the next morning to bounce. With no expectations, sometimes it sets the stage for easy wins but let me just say that Civil Society Brewing Company would be a win under just about any and all circumstances.

They’ve got a couple different spots but I pulled up to the West Palm Beach location – dope graffiti outside, by the way. Inside, it’s a very nicely curated space. Even though I’ve never been to their other location in Jupiter, I honestly can’t imagine liking it more than the one in West Palm Beach – it’s proper! Oh… they had live music that night, too! Again, it was just a great situation especially for these guys not being on my radar.

They do a great job with IPAs (Gametime) and DIPAs (Palm Shadow, Catch the Beat, and Tracks). I also had a nice Imperial Stout (El Classico) as well as a Berliner Weisse (Sobremesa). Before moving to Florida a couple years ago, I’d honestly never considered how many good craft breweries awaited me – I was very much consumed by the pandemic for obvious reasons. But again, stepping into a situation with no expectations has certainly set the stage for win after win after win. It’s been a helluva run so thanks to CSBC for keeping the streak going and I’ll be back sooner rather than later… Cheers!
