KD’s Craft Beer Run | Leaven Brewing

SALUD! Hope everyone’s enjoying the Holiday season. This past weekend, I popped in Leaven Brewing for a quick flight to see what they had new. These guys are in the suburbs of Tampa, about 15-20 miles south east of downtown in the Riverview area. They do solid work, got a nice space and I always enjoy stopping in.

On this visit, I touched up a smooth, citrusy IPA (G’Boy Bailey), a spicy Pale Ale (Pineapple Heat), a really nice peanut butter Porter (Tattoo Face), and a beautifully balanced Berliner Weisse (Cucumberliner). My only complaint – I was hoping they had a Barrel Aged Stout but maybe next time. I’ll be back soon either way! In the meantime, I grabbed a couple crowlers – Tattoo Face and Cucumberliner – to unfortunately watch the Titans get handled by Jacksonville. C’est la vie…
